There have been several comments about NVS paying "very well"... I guess it's all relative because I feel they barely pay a decent fee for their package size and requirements. They rarely call me because they only want to pay $100 per closing. When they call me, they must have exhausted all other avenues because I charge more than that. Their packages are large and you cannot call the borrower ahead of time - so you cannot confirm the appointment, which always carries a higher risk of no-sign. And the three pages of threats are pretty insulting, but I guess they feel they must put it out there due to past issues with notaries.

FWIW, I think that three pages of instructions/threats make for so much reading that many notaries probably don't even read the whole thing. Short and simple is always better.

I have done several signings with them. The package is a little bit on the heavy side, about 300 + pages including a borrower's copy, but they do pay within 3 weeks, and they pay very well :)

I have done several jobs for this company and was paid within two weeks. However I did a signing for them on 9/22/09 and have yet to receive payment. I emailed them around October 13, 2009 and was told that they pay within 3-4 weeks. I waited five weeks becasue I had not received a check and have not received a response. Any suggestions on how to handle this?

Gladys M. Hamlett

I was paid and due to the mail that is why it was late. THUMBS UP!
