I did a closing for them on 06/18/2013.
I still have not been paid. Sent two emails and left a voice mail. Nobody is getting back to me.
Has anyone else had problems getting paid? |

Erin contacted me Friday, 2-22-13 morning & asked me to do a closing scheduled for Saturday, 2-23-12 @ 10:00 am. The docs are still not uploaded on their website for me to print. I have left several messages on both their contact numbers for Erin or somebody to return my call & let me know about the docs. But they clearly state not to contact the title company & call them first with problems!! It is now 2 hours before the scheduled closing!!
This is so unprofessional!! I refuse to deal with signing services who aren't communicating & handling their business!!

I had my first experience with Angi Notary Signing Services today. Last minute gig and not a pleasant one. She/They did not answer emails or telephone calls before, during or after closing and she wants you to call her/them first before the title company.
ANSS provided poor instructions, did not provide support at the closing table or after and didn't even bother to check to see if I was licensed title producer which is necessary in my state! ANSS just wanted the cut from the closing fee. She/They utilize Notary Cafe as a vendor to subcontract their contracted work out to notaries who are signed up at Notary Cafe.
Angi Notary Signing Services is unprofessional.

Good advice Lisa. It's hard to do when this is your only business and you have a 45 min. turnaround just to print docs. I tend to wait until the last possible minute. However, I've learned one thing: do the closings in the order the docs came in, if need be, and let everyone know why you'll be running so late..

Late docs seem to be routine these days. Some suggestions others have made on various forums are:
Do not be late for an appt for which you have ready docs. If you are waiting for docs and the time to leave for your next appt is approaching, the late doc appt should be moved to the end of the line, or you can call the hiring party and give back the job. It is not your fault that the docs are not ready in time. Don't make your next appts suffer for the previous one and don't ruin your schedule by feeling like you must drop everything to cater to a late doc appt. Stay in control of your schedule.
Some hiring entities mistakenly believe that the Notary has nothing better to do but sit around all day long and wait forever and a day for their docs to come in, as if we don't have other appointments, or even lives to live.
Well said Lisa T. and Angie Lane. Your comments re-affirm my thoughts of not letting everyone suffer on behalf of one. The very company mentioned in this thread sent a terse email asking why I needed docs three hours prior to appointment and when I explained it was due to other appointments ahead of them, they cancelled my participation in the signing. My husband calls it the "total entitlement" syndrome.
Most of the time I'm sure we all bend over backwards waiting for last minute docs if we don't have prior commitments -- as Angie said, it's all part of the business. Along the same lines, the most professional, integritous companies will understand the need for prepared docs in a timely manner and will work with you and above all consider the borrower in these situations.

I was contracted by this company and was very pleased with their professionalism, fee and turn time for payment. I would recommend them to any quality signing agent.

I have been a Mobile Notary, Signing Agency, and Loan Officer for many years now. I have worked very closely with a lot of Title Company and Mortgage Companies. Late docs is just a part of this business. You guys are right. Don't make the appt you have docs for suffer. Call the company the late docs are with, let them know you have other closings and that you will have to bump them until you get docs. But you have to be able to work it out or you are in the wrong business. Yes, title co's and signing agencies are not very understanding of our schedules, or it would seem, but the LO is begging the UW/Closer to get the docs sent to the title company and the Title Company is begging for docs and you are begging the title co for docs... We are all in the same boat when it comes to late docs. Don't sweat it, bump it to the end of your day and move on. This is truly a 24/7 business. It is hard to make a living at it if your working 9-5.

Had a 9am appt with over 1 hour drive, when I called to see when docs would arrive I was told I would get them in the morning. Recieved docs late, I notified them I would be late, got to my appt at 9:45. had a call that they had more docs could I get them! They faxed the docs to the borrower. In the package were directions to drop docs off same day 15 miles further away! I was by now extremely late to next appt so took them home. Our pickup is at noon only. faxed all docs required (not an 800#) and got a NASTY phone call the next morning from Janet Angi. I was also told my fee would be docked, will be suprised if I get paid at all. They showed all the signs of a company that does not pay. knew I should have canceled when docs were not available the night before.
