I agree Linda - that's why I limit my RESPA signings and Structured Settlements to my home county - just not worth going out of county for these - although I did have one RM RESPA that paid me $150 - that one was sweet, the lady was sharp as a tack, had everything ready, no issues, questions, problems - and I did get offered the signing when it was ready to close. Downside? - it was almost 120 miles round trip...but aside from the travel, THOSE I'd do again.

Oh I've already contacted them twice... Will do again. Just very frustrating as they only pay $75 for the RESPA's and they are not worth the aggravation and long wait for pay.

I'm STILL waiting for payment on a RESPA signing fee from end of March. As was noted earlier, they pay for their closings quickly but the RESPA's are another story...

The last one I did for them was a RESPA signing - did it 4/21, paid on or about 5/5/09 (I say on or about as it came in when I was in CT)...I'd call them if it's been 6 weeks.

I've done quite a bit of work for them lately and they pay well and in a timely fashion. They're on my good list.

Linda, you're right - they owe me now for a RESPA from March 24th. I contacted them last week and they apologized and said they would send it right out. Come to think of it, the only other time it's taken a long time for them to pay was on a no-sign that later did successfully sign with new docs. It's their policy that they pay full fee, but there is some sort of disconnect in their system and the payment seems to fall through the cracks.
I don't think the RESPA's are worth it anyway. They just take forever - just as long as a loan signing but not as much pay.

I also have worked for Patriot many times. I have had no problems getting paid for closings. But, they are very unorganized when it comes to paying for Respa's. I have done 3 or 4 Respa's for them and have a very very hard time getting paid for these, especially if the loan does not happen. It has taken months. I won't take anymore Respa's from them. I'll do the final closing only. |

I've worked for Patriot Title in MD numerous times. They will call you again and again if you do a good job for them. Someone posted that their packages have a lot of notarizations... yes they do and I'm not crazy about their title docs - lots of stuff for the borrower to read through and fill in the blanks. I have them do that at the end while I'm checking the package.
While not the highest-paying TC, I accept only those jobs that are within a reasonable travel distance. They also pay full fee for no-signs, which is saying a lot now-a-days. I've had one or two late payment issues, but have always gotten them resolved. I find Jessica to be very pleasant to work with. The story that sailing described was very unfortunate indeed - I wouldn't be happy about missing out on other jobs either! But my experiences with Patriot Title have been good.

Patriot Title...not such a good experience. On 3/26, I was contacted by them to do a signing later that day at 3pm. I started printing the docs and attempted to contact the BO. I was contacted by another company a few minutes later to do another signing, but turned it down due to the appointment conflict. When I was finally able to reach the BO, I was informed by the BO that the signing was not to take place until the following day, the 27th. I called Patriot and they apologized. They sent revised docs at 1pm on the the 27th. I also received another call from another company to do a signing on the 27th, but again had to decline due to scheduling. It was about a 45 minute to an hour drive to the signing location given to me by Patriot. I left my home at 1:30 as I had to make stops on the way. I contacted the borrower again to confirm our 3pm appointment. He was very irritated with me and wondered how I was going to get there by 3pm when it was already 4:30 pm. Turns out the BO was in Maryland and the home he was refinancing was in Bothell, WA. I contacted Patriot, whoever answered the phone said OH no, "he was supposed to let you know," Since I missed two signings which would have totaled $250, I felt that Patriot owed me the $125 that they promised to pay for my services. I got a really snippy note back from Jessica Zinsavage saying that I would have had plenty of time to accept other signings. Of course I could have accepted other signings, but no one contacted me after 1:30pm that day. |

I've done quite a few for them. Paid in a reasonable amt of time. I do have one over due at the moment, but will get it worked out I'm sure. Not concerned. |

Yes...just did one recently with them..great people and easy to work with...but crazy, crazy number of notarizations - I had 28 notarizations (a record for me) for the single refi package I did.. paid in 3 weeks
Other than the high number of notarizations they're great to work with and I'll take all they want to send me.

Patriot Title out of MD? Did just one in Nov. 07, easy to work with, fast pay, very sweet scheduler.
Called twice this year for two more signings, but due to scheduling conflict, regretfully could not take them. |
