Found elsewhere they were bought out by MDA Lending Solutions a year to a year and a half ago.
No experience with them

Older persons on this list may remember when thermometers contained mercury. If you dropped the glass rod and it broke, mercury flowed everywhere and was very had to gather.
That's what Transunion reminds me of. There are so many little blobs in this company it can be frustrating. Not only are they one of the main credit reporting agencies, they have their fingers in many types of financial pies, and have many offices too.
I recently read a news article that the credit reporting group had "lost" some clients' personal ID records and they were making settlement to the clients by way of several months of "free" monitoring.
When there are so many tentacles to an agency, it's no wonder there are problems. After doing several closings for TU a couple years ago, they decided to start charging back $4 per closing, which I protested and was not charged. Then the amount was "set" by what fee I had charged on the last closing, even though the distance was quite different.
The last one was the most frustrating because they called 2 days before closing to hire me, set the appointment with the client, then didn't send the paperwork until the time the closing was set. Trying to find the people who had the paperwork required calling from coast to coast.
After paperwork was completed, however, I did get paid in the agreed timeframe. |

Everything that's been said...with one caveat: About 1/4 of COs from this co. come thru with their 'standard' (very low) fee shown, despite having agreed to a higher fee. If you don't correct it immediately with them, it becomes a 'gotcha'. |

It would appear my reply has fallen into a black hole so I'm going to re-post..and make some additions to my original reply.
jkobleur - are you an attorney? I hope so, seeing as Georgia is an attorney-only state and all....if you're not, you AND any company you do signings for may want to rethink your business practices as you're all breaking the law. Unless, of course, seeing as this is your first post, you have a working relationship with TU and are here to merely defend them...
Makes me sick when I know I've done all I can to operate within the laws of my state and I hear of people like this who don't...

I have done well over one hundred signings for TU. Their people are first rate, their documents are on time and they pay on a timely basis without my having to bill them. I wish all the companies I work with were as good.

I have done several signings for TransUnion. They recently changed their to pay amount. Not real happy with that. They do quite a bit of HELOC's which are very easy. I liked their old rates much better. They pay according to the contract, also are negotiable with rates.
