I dont know why anyone will work for them, they never want to pay my fee. They only pay 60. Forget about it.

This company called me 7 times in LESS than one hour....
1st call was to see if I was available for a last minute signing, which I already had two more back to back closings scheduled.

They had the nerve to suggest that I move my other signings and do theirs 1st.
They 1st offered $60, of course I said absolutely not.

They then started calling me back while I was in a closing and called 7 times during the closing!

I ended up blocking all calls from them.

Got a call from them last Friday. Gave me a lowball fee offer, then I told them my rate; said they'd have to get it approved. Hour later they met my rate. Pkg was almost 170 pages & they wanted it all faxed back! They later cancelled that. Will now wait to see if I get paid. Regardless, I moved them to my "No thanks" list.

No I never did get a response and I cancled the job. Oddly enough they did call me today for another signing but I spent the last 6 hours in back-to back signings and couldn't get back to them in time. Not sure if I would have taken it though :)

I got a call from them and same story as cmihalik. I quoted them a fee that was more than double that was told they needed to get it approved and would call me back. They did call back with the approval and emailed the confirmation. However, I had a couple of questions about the confirmation so I emailed them back (I use tracking on my email) and 1 person deleted the email without reading it and the other person, the person who originally called me hasn't responded yet, but I indicated in there that the appointment is not firmly confirmed until I have answers to my questions....and they really aren't difficult questions but are ones that could result in either a positive or negative signing experience so kind of important. The appt is for Friday at 8am central time (they are pacific time) so we'll see if I hear from them or get a hold of them tomorrow (Thursday) or they will have a client sitting there waiting for someone to show up....one of the issues is they didn't provide the address of the meeting place

I've recently done 3 signings for them, they paid within 45 days. Very organized, I really wasn't expecting them to pay me but they did.

I really don't care if they call me back or not. I wouldn't work for them even if they DID "authorize" it!!! Quite honestly, I find that to be an insult and a bit unethical!!! Are there really that many (I'll give them the benefit of a doubt) "uninformed" (or are they experienced idiots/fools?) notaries out there that would accept that as payment (I know there are, but UGH come ON people)???? If you do that, you may as well GIVE them $75 plus and tell them to find a real notary. You will not be in business long. Are you looking to have a tax write-off at the end of the year? Because you can't possibly be in the black after expenses (Printers (I would hope you have laser.), wear and tear, toner, paper (legal & letter), gas, mileage, maintenance on your car, your TIME, the frustrations of last minute cancellations, last minute doc's, abuse from frustrated borrowers, having to deal with borrowers that find it necessary to read each and every page-no matter HOW many times you tell them this is a "signing" appointment only), NOT GETTING PAID by some of these unscrupulous, dishonest, corrupt, crooked, immoral...lol...I could go on and on...lol...companies.

You are actually paying Global YOUR pay and the pay they're getting from their client too. They do not have to put out any of the overhead (see above). You do it for them...lmao...ding ding ding ding ding, DUH!!! You might be doing two to three times more than I do, but we make as much money...lol...and I don't have to deal with as much aggravation.

For those who are new and "uninformed", like I was when I started, please do not take this personally but realize that when these lowlife companies call and try to low ball and take advantage of unknowing "newbies," that you don't HAVE to accept that nonsense. You should not be getting anything under $XXX. In NJ you can ABSOLUTELY get it, and more.

Please know that if these companies find it difficult to get notaries that will accept their insulting fees, they will have no choice but to pay us what we deserve. I promise you that there are honest, paying, reputable companies out there. Just continue signing on with as many as you can. It can take a while to get established but it really is worth it in the long run. Trust and believe!!!

Good luck and please lets stick together. You don't have to be the fool that they know you to be.

Interesting to hear that they are a sister company to Nations Direct. Explains a lot. I just got my second call from them. The first time I was not available so we didn't talk price. Today, they called with a signing approximately 35 miles from home, edocs and fax backs of all notarized docs. When I quoted my fee, he said anything over $80 had to be authorized by the title company so he would call me back. We all know that is a "no thank you."

I have worked for Global Notary. They pay as promised but their packages are thick and pay is on the low end. However, unlike Nations Direct, they will pay additional for extra mileage or heavy packages, but you must call them out on it first.

No but I get calls all the time from their sister company, Nations Direct, which I decline because of the low fees.
