Interesting concept that certain states would have different standards set by Comcast. They definitely told me that 7.6Mbs was the limit no matter how cluttered my mailbox may be. I can sent more out but that is the limit that can be rec'd into my mailbox.

Thanks for the input

Is it possible that the Indiana and New Hampshire locations of Comcast have different mailbox specifications? Why would tech support advise her that 7.6 is the max for her/him?

I have comcast and that is not true. I take in larger docs than that. I do, however, try to keep my mailbox down to a minimum. I found that I clutter the most in my sent email box so I clean that out regularly.

The size of the e-mail to be received and the overall size of the mailbox is usually set by the user - but it must be within the parameters set by the ISP (internet service provide). Each has varying levels. If they told you that is the max - that would be the max for your mailbox with them. It is possible to keep an ISP and have your mailbox elsewhere. If so, you would still need to make sure of the size requirement. A 10 mb package is on the large size. The typical package received here is 3 mb to 9 mb with only four total over 7 mb.

I recently had an issue with Comcast re the size of a loan doc that wouldn't come thru to my mailbox. It was 10Mbs and after several unsuccessful "sends" by Title, I had him send the package to the SS and to another mailbox I have in AOL. That one came thru - the email to the SS went thru but NOT to my Comcast inbox. I did a live chat with Comcast this morning and was told that the largest size that can come thru is 7.6Mbs. Is that true? Has anyone else had this issue?

TIA for your help
