Traffic Gauge doesn't extend to the Inland Empire (darn)! Maybe in the future it will. I really appreciate your impute on mobile notary/loan-signing. You really have a handle on it.

Why do you need a broadband card from Verison? Obviously I don't know how this works and is not a comment on having one.

I also have the bluetooth cell and voice GPS.

The purchase of these 2 items are the very first things I think a loan signer should buy when they have the financial resources.

These two can make your life so much easier.

Believe you can pick one up at Circuit City (about $100) This includes your first year subscription and renewal is about $60/yr.

Sensors built into fwys send signals to CalTrans (same system used by media to give advisories) this shows on your miniscreen (grid)in the form of clear-no traffic, a solid dash-meaning traffic, or a flashing dash-meaning heavy traffic.

When I'm busy, it saves me as much as 300/miles a week on the L.A. freeways because I can reroute when I see tie-ups.

Totally worth the money.....

Good luck....

Here's an old post I had made on another site:

I am a huge believer in technology. On board I utilize the following gadgets: Of course my blue-tooth cell phone, voice activated GPS (couldn't live without it), my laptop on a very cool device called an Airdesk with wireless internet of course, a Traffic Gauge which gives me readings on freeway traffic throuout the greater L.A. and Orange county areas and saves me hundreds of miles each month, a laser printer-for all those last minute emails and faxes that title/escrow like to send and my ZUNE MP3 player to keep me rollin'.

I mentioned this in a previous post....I love mine and wanted to share it with those of you who have mobile offices out there....

http://www.airdesks.com/cardesk.asp

Please, don't compute and drive at the same time!!!! :~)

Phone set up on my account:

I use a broadband card which requires a separate phone line (verizon) but calls are unlimited for a flat fee of $69
a mo.

To power things:

TigerDirect.com ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.as... ) has one for $384.99 - RadioShack has the same model for $499. Do a Google Search on '3000w power inverter'

To Print:
I just found this HP LaserJet P2015dn printer at Office Depot on sale here in Florida till June 30 ($499 and then you get a $125 mail-in rebate) and has TWO paper (250 sheet) trays (small, compact cube shape) - only 14 inches HIGH x 14 inches wide x 15 inches deep (network compatible)

You can also find it on the internet here:

http://www.nextag.com/HP-LaserJet-P2015dn-Black-528333628/prices-html

I personally use the hp1020 does both sizes too but is much smaller.

I should point out some of this came from others who had responded to the thread ....Hope that it helps!

I'm going to go heavy into the marketing and would like to have a mobile office. I already have a cell with bluetooth, am going to buy a laptop, but need more information.

1) Can the laptop run off of my cell wireless account or do I need a separate wireless acount?

2) What other equipment do I need to power the laptop? I've heard of the power inverters. Is this a must, and if so, suggestions as to which one? Other musts for the laptop?

3) Nice portable printer that accommodates legal paper -- suggestions?

Any help would be appreciated!
