Take care with "Yellow Pages" as there are so many versions:
magicyellow
yellow pages
city pages
etc.

I have a very good deal. if you google "new york notary" they do whatever it takes to get top billing. Then when you click them it goes to my display ad - directly.
so they pay the cost per click - and I get the exposure.

my rep is:

Asif Ali
Account Manager
Yellow Page City
www.yellowpagecity.com
aali@yellowpagecity.com
(585) 410-6610

I continue to be amazed at the deal I got. I aint saying prices, but I am saying I get lots of calls that mention them because of the always top google spot - that Ali & company are cost per click paying.

Joan is correct about the yellow pages.

Advertise for the market you want to serve and that is the business you will draw.

Best of luck.

When you advertise on the Yellow pages you are looking to get public notary work and not/ loan signing.

I think most notaries would agree that it is a good idea to advertise in the yellow pages; but, most notaries don't advertise with this method because it is very expensive.

That said; if you contact the person selling the ads in your local yellow pages and tell them to call you when the "rates are cheap/they are having a sale/whatever/" you will save a bunch of money.

You will get a lot of business from advertising in your local yellow pages.
If you look at the notary listing in your local yellow pages they will put you to sleep with how boring they are. Use a little creativity and you'll get more business

Just understand you are not going to get loan signing business from an ad in the Yellow Pages
