A Florida Mobile Notary may charge any travel fee they like.

Florida Notary Fees
The fee for notary work in Florida may not exceed $10 for any one notarial act, except as provided in s. 117.045. Please keep in mind that many other states allow a notary to charge per signature notarized, while Florida notaries charge per act (for each time they apply their seal in an Acknowledged signature for example). A notary public may not charge a fee for witnessing an absentee ballot in an election, and must witness such a ballot upon the request of an elector. Florida Notaries can perform marriages. A Florida notary is authorized to solemnize the rites of matrimony. For solemnizing the rites of matrimony, the fee of a Florida Notary Public may not exceed the fees provided by law to the clerks of the circuit court for similar services.

Florida has a more convenient way to file paperwork to become a notary public. The information below is from the link listed above.

To apply for an appointment or reappointment as a notary public, you may obtain an application and information from a bonding company approved to submit applications electronically to the Department of State, Notary Commissions and Certifications Section.

A Course is Required to Become a Florida Notary
Notary applicants must complete a three hour notary class or interactive based learning program to be eligible to become a notary public. Applicants must be at least eighteen years old and a legal resident of the state. The application process is done through an approved bonding company who will assist you with the application, fees, notary seal, and bond requirements.

Dual State Notary Commission Information
If you are a Georgia notary residing in Georgia, or an Alabama notary residing in Alabama, you may not become a Florida notary. You must be a Florida resident to be eligible to become a Florida notary.
