An Official Notary Seal generally includes the Notary's name, county where commissioned, state, the words, "Notary Public", the notary's commission number, and the notary's commission expiration date. The stamp could include some state graphics and a variety of borders such as serrated, double line, scallops, milled edge, or single line. A notary seal could be rectangular or circular and must be an inked stamp, although a secondary non-inked embosser that leaves a raised impression may be used in addition. Not all states require the use of an official Notary seal although the ones that don't, generally require that the notary handwrite the same information that would be on the seal.
