Function: verb ( past participle ) / adjective

Infinitive: to certify

Present Tense: certified

Past Tense: certifies

Present Continuous: certifying

Past Perfect: certified

Definition 1:
A document or fact that has been verified, proven correct, or attested to. To have passed a test that verifies that an individual meets a particular standard of knowledge.

Definition 2:
A notary who has passed a signing agent examination can be said to be certified. Notaries who have passed the NNA's signing agent certification exam call themselves certified signers. They fail to realize that there is no official standardized government certification or certification standards. Each notary agency is free to offer their own signing agent certification, and notaries are free to take whichever certification they feel is important for their career. We recommend getting certified by whichever website you intend to advertise with in the long run, since websites generally only honor their own certification.

Definition 3:
Notaries who passed the 123notary.com certification test are 123notary certified signers and get the certification icon next to their name on the search results for the life of their listing. Please note that notaries who are certified by 123notary have get about 78% as many visits to their listings as uncertified notaries in comparable positions. The most cost effective investment you can make for your presence on 123notary is our certification, as you only have to pay and study once, but will get the benefits of the certification for the life of your listing. Notaries who lack the certification icon are frequently skipped over by signing companies and title companies who want to hire notaries who have proven themselves to be the best in the business.
