Reading between the lines, I certainly agree, and probably that was the intent. However, from a legal perspective, it must be taken at face value. The message was worded correctly to avoid persecution. That's all I'm saying.

I'm going to respectfully disagree Paul...the way I read that e-mail that's exactly what he was asking..

"There is a quit claim deed that was drafted in June 2010 and the only notarized copy was lost. Is there any way that it can be notarized but with a June date. Let me know because this would help greatly"

Now, if this is not what he meant..why did he try to recall the e-mail?

Paul -

He knew what he was asking me to do. He is an analyst at a major bank. He knows that backdating is illegal, and with full knowledge of the legality of his request he asked me if I would do it.

You were not solicited to backdate. Read the statement very carefully.

There is nothing illegal in this request. Don't read into the question, which is difficult to do, but the way the request is worded, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. He's asking if it can be done. He's not asking anyone to do it, just whether or not it can be done. Obviously, the answer is it can't be done.

I looked up the name of the bank officer in question on Facebook and found that it is a "he", not a "she" - and he works as an "analyst" at the Tampa branch of JPMorgan Chase & Co., which is the address I have listed on the AGO complaint form. Already faxed and mailed.

I have no patience for this type of thing.

I just wish I had gotten some more information - maybe found out the names on the property, etc. I'd love to show up at their final foreclosure hearing to testify as to their fraudulent practices.

Yep...the AG's office in FL - along with a copy to the FL SOS -

I'd add to that a copy to the AG in the state where the particular JPMorgan office is located...

Sounds like they're trying to validate a foreclosure...ugh.

As if JP Morgan and the other big banks haven't been in enough trouble lately with backdating and other fraudulent notary practices!

Here is the EXACT e-mail I got, from a particular employee from this company:

quote:

I have a question. There is a quit claim deed that was drafted in June 2010 and the only notarized copy was lost. Is there any way that it can be notarized but with a June date. Let me know because this would help greatly. Thanks!

Notice that the e-mail originates from JP Morgan!

I of course replied telling her that this was completley illegal and fraudulent. Suddenly, instead of getting a "read receipt" I got a "recall" receipt, that this woman was "recalling" her message previously sent to me. Probably because she knew that I knew what she was up to and wanted to quickly backpedal.

It ticks me off beyond belief that this woman is going to turn right around and FIND a notary who will be willing to do this! I wish there was someone to report this to. In fact, I may just send a copy of the e-mail to the Attorney General's office.
