The most memorable signing for me was when I was 9 months pregnant and went to delivery room right after the notary appointment! :)

I haven't really had any really odd experiences. Although one time, a co-worker of mine called me to come over to her desk to notarize some random document, while other co-workers prepared a birthday party for me in the back. After notarizing it, completing a journal entry, etc., I went back to find the birthday party all set up. The co-worker confessed that the document didn't need to be notarized and she had drafted some random document for notarization just to get me away from my desk.

In the eight years I was a notary, there were a few really odd experiences. I notarized someone who people thought was a kidnapper. I notarized a man in jail who blew up his apartment while experimenting with explosives, and a year later by chance met two of the people who were jurors on his trial when they needed to be notarized. I met people on their deathbed who desperately needed to be notarized. One of my best clients was a lady who ran massage parlors throughout Los Angeles county. Through her I met an acupuncturist named Dr. Quack. I met twenty people from Puebla who were not related to each other while fingerprinting for a company in Commerce. I notarized celebreties (met their personal assistants), movie directors ( busy types, aren't they? ) and went to many movie sets. I was a regular at men's central and was on a first name basis with the parking lot attendans. Those were the days.
But, what are YOUR oddest notary stories?
