I remember the old days when the average price for a 2-day air was $16 around the USA. That was around 10 years ago. But, in the last few years I have been doing 3 day economy. But, my average rate is $28 now. For a 2-day it would be in the 30's. Prices have doubled. I understand that fuel and labor prices have gone up, but did they double since 2003?

The result is that we are using USPS for most of our shipping of books and courses. They went up too, but much more reasonably. From $3.85 to $5.60. I can deal with that. Less than 50% increase, yet they have to deal with the same labor and fuel issues. Hmm.

Maybe Fedex caters to a crown with infinite finances, who care about reliability and speed so much that they will pay those kinds of prices. On the other hand, the post office is almost out of business. Maybe that is because they don't charge enough! After they go out of business, our only choice will be Fedex or UPS, and then we will really be paying. The government needs to wake up!
