Thanks Sue for sharing. I think it is the taxes due because we get the double whammy as businesses of the 2012 taxes along with the 4th quarter due so people must naturally cut back on things. It's a good time to take a vacation but unfortunately for me I had a calamity last October that I can't take one for a while. SF always has cheap things to do anyway.

Things always seemed to pick up in October. I thought that the parents finally had things organized from the children being home for the summer and now they needed to do other important things.

Things have been slowing a little in San Francisco. I think it may be the economy too. It's always a sign when I start getting automated sales calls that things are slowing down a little. It's also a sign when I get low ball offers from funky new agencies. I have regulars that use my services a lot that usually keep me busy daily.

On the other side of mobile notary work, it's also slowing down with one signature calls at my office. It sometimes becomes a little frustrating to get calls from people wanting a notary "now" who have one signature documents and want to walk into my office.

I'm not worried at all, I could use the personal time to take care of other things. It's just that I find it strange how the bottom drops out of this business so fast almost as if it's being tightly controlled by unforeseen forces in the banking industry. Has anyone experienced this pattern in their business?

Sincerely yours,

Notary's Life
