Payment policy (refuse to sign, recinded, etc.) and reputation of the entity that will pay for your services.
Notary laws of their license state - read often, carry with you.
Contact numbers: Ideally 3 for borrower (home, office and cell) + 2 "Save the Loan Officer" numbers (Lender & Title + hiring party).
Logic: First make sure you are paid, second only do what is legal, third be able to call borrower (bad address, stuck behind fire truck); and able to pass "problem issues" up chain of command.

Such an obvious question, but we have never asked this before. There is so much a signer should ideally know. But, certain pieces of information are more valuable than others. To me, understanding the APR and Right to Cancel, plus the Note are central pieces of knowledge. But, what do you think the most important things a signer should know would be?
