It's very interesting to me how a large percentage of parents I come across don't do much to restrain their children at a signing table. The parents seem to just let the kids run wild. In one circumstances the daughters were coming in and putting stuff on their parents heads as a joke laughing loudly then running out of the room. The parents kept asking them to stop but they wouldn't. The house was a mess by the way reflecting their kind of free lifestyle. The lady was a top executive at Google which I found amazing.

Many times the children will also reach for writing utensils and for papers. Some are so cute I actually get distracted by them to be honest. Others can be really annoying but what I've found is the kids have separation anxiety and need to be with their mother or they start crying so I understand the reason I have my job is I'm needed to come to their homes so they don't have to bring their children anywhere.

I once had a signer's cat that was really crazy wild walking all over my journal, the papers he played with etc. The owner would speak to the cat that wouldn't listen and that is all he would do so the cat just kept on acting crazy the entire hour.

I guess I am not the best person to have around kids. What about you? How much do you enjoy this type of experience?

Sincerely yours,
