You know what chaps my hide? These Title Companies that constantly say how "valuable" Notaries are as the face of their companies, then they cut our fees. I've been doing this for 7 years, and if it were up to most Title Companies, I would be the only one in these transactions that didn't get a raise at all. Standard fee in 2010 - $100. Standard fee in 2017 - $90 (only I rarely go out for $90). The latest is WFG. Before that, Vantage Point Title. Before that, ServiceLink ($87 w/faxbacks) - no, thanks. Working for ServiceLink would be like earning minimum wage after expenses.

If we're that valuable to your business, then SHOW US! Actions speak much, much louder than your smooth talk.

I totally agree with Ken, there's a lot of nice people out there needing a mobile notary! You can do the general notary work and loans too, at the price you set.

Then SHOW US???

You are asking them to "look out for you" at their expense. That aint gonna happen. Every dollar not paid to you is greater profit for them. Break free! Find OTHER revenue from your notary status. It's MUCH easier to earn from individuals directly compared to being at the end of the food chain. Print up a LOT of nice business cards and distribute to every doctor, store, and business for a (initially) 5 mile circle. You CAN succeed if you break the dependence chain to "signings". Re-read your applicable laws, find out what ELSE you can do - drop El Cheepo signing for easier work that adds up quickly. There are many in that 5 mile circle that simply do not know that you are willing to go to their shop. VISIT them, market actively and directly. Waiting for low paying buzzards to "come around" to feeling an obligation to pay you more is not your best option.

Tips for using the forum
The most important feature on the forum is the search box. You can look up a particular word, phrase, name of a company, and see a potentially large list of search results with which you can obtain data. Filters are also valuable. If you want to find popular posts, you can use the number of views filter. You can also see whats new with the active topics link. Email us at info@123notary.com if you need any help using the notary forum.

Resources
The notary public resource page is valuable as it has links to all of the free information pages for notaries. Pages linked to the resource page include a page that teaches you everything you need to know to get the most out of your listing. Another page teaches you all the secrets of getting paid. There is a link to our free list of signing companies. There is also a glossary, learning tools, and much more. If you are a notary, the free tips we give are invaluable.
