i have started to send my contract, with my terms to inquiring agencies that send me 10 page contracts of theirs for me to sign before they offer me ridiculous rates. So far, no takers.
A universal contract, at least for California Notaries, would be soooooooooooo beneficial for us all.

that sounds like a good idea!
I've experienced something similar in the past, where there is so much paperwork involved, and the signing company even has a notary test (which is not hard, but still...) and then.... they offer this ridiculous fees of $65 per signing, what?
In SF a parking ticket is more than that....
