No one answered, so I left a message introducing myself and confirming the appointment... Then, I got a call back from the borrower being very frustrated he said :"As you might realize we are working people and do not receive calls at work....next time please be so kind and give us a few days notice in advance..." yep! I thought to myself, I can use those few days notice myself! but it's not me who rules the world! People are funny! http://www.DianaNotary.com

"When I get to that main intersection in town, Sunset, do I turn left or right to meet you at Dairy Queen?" (Suppose they weren't there. How long do I wait if I can't call?) "When you turn onto the ranch, the left fork goes toward my brother's house and my nephew's house, but when you take the right fork, you are going to have to look out for the washout and drive off the road for a bit. My trailer is to the left behind the cornfield." "I'm on the street right behind the Family Dollar store. My house is directly behind it." How easy is that? Otherwise, it's "boldly go" where no one has been before.

Funniest one was when they put it in writing that I'd be paid full fee "because I can't call" if the B was a no-show and I was there at the scheduled time of 8:30 in the morning and the B's wife said "No, the appointment is at 8:30 PM and he's on the road until then". They paid--twice--and after that one, they always let me call and confirm. If you don't value your time and experience, nobody else will.
Fuzzy1955	Posted - 03/12/2013 : 03:09:19 AM I refuse all orders where they state I cannot call the borrower. Just yesterday I had one where they had NOT told me "no contact" as it was a private bank customer. I made the two calls that I make, introduction and "docs are in, you need to have..." Yesterday's was in branch bank and the borrower was receiving $100,000 from closing. I was REQUIRED, by instructions, to obtain a voided check. It was a BOA deal where they also require the name and address of the insurance company (it's a Florida thing). Hmmm, what would the private bank customer have thought if I had not been able to contact them. I think it would have made them feel inadequate because they did not have everything needed for the closing? Fuzzy1955
gno996	Posted - 03/11/2013 : 11:34:26 PM I had a few of those "Do not call the borrower" being rural you might think I could get lost and need directions... it sure helps to make sure I find the place...psst I use mapquest andd my GPS..it never fails me

LindaH	Posted - 03/05/2013 : 3:28:03 PM That's not an option for me. I have to be able to confirm with borrowers. We are far too rural here and these country roads too dark to go bopping around without knowing where you're going. If hiring party insists, then I want written confirmation that I'll be paid my full agreed fee no matter what. Then I'll go. So far I've never been denied permission to call the borrowers in advance.
