If you were a bar tender turned notary and created a company that did bar tender style notarizations -- with the small talk, gossip, and other bar tender type stuff thrown in, what do you think the signings would be like?
May I have some pretzels with my affidavit of occupancy please?

While Calif. mandates $10. per stamp, could we bartender/notaries charge per shot? Some "fine" tequilas are similar in value and could be traded as barter/exchange. Similar to a shot each time my Giants score a run, I could get a shot from the client for each stamped notarization! Not to be sent back to title until the next day! |

I learned in my early years the hard way.
NO LIQUIDS ON THE TABLE!
All it took was a big mug of coffee to get knocked over all the dox to insist on the obviously practical rule.
My only other rule is:
"Thou shalt not read until I leave"....
Most clients are very agreeable.
Prompt, secure professional signings.
The first to call in North Central North Carolina!

Not true! The bar tender notary typically asks if they would like him to call a cab for them! Except for the fact that they are already home!

The notary would take the borrowers house keys and only return them when all the docs were signed.
