We had a good conversation on facebook about paypal verses square. Which one do you prefer to accept incoming payments for notary work? What about chargeback issues. Paypal is not so favorable to the seller if there is no fedex invoice. Does anyone have any experience here?

I have Square (just got it about a week ago) - have not had occasion to use it yet.

I only intend to use it for general notary work. I would not accept it for loan signings simply because the fee is a percentage per swipe, so my signing fee would have to be increased to cover that.

This topic got good comments on facebook a few months ago.
One notary hasn't found signing companies willing to make payments using the square. Another notary uses it all the time for non-loan signing notary jobs (we call those "regular" notary jobs. One finds it very handy. Many others claim they love it.

Some other comments include:
"love my square"
"time to find out what it is"
"use it often"

What do you guys think?

SQUARE is the BOMB! (Although I also accept Paypal) Now any client wishing to use their Credit Card Visa/MC/Amex/Discover can do so when calling "A Quick Note" Mobile Notary and Document Delivery...

Once you go iPhone, you'll NEVER go back!
