Posted - 08/19/2011 : 12:02:49 AM This is a fun one I never thought of before. I'm remembering my days as a signer. Neighbors would sometimes come in for one reason or the other. Sometimes we would have to grab them to get them to act as a witness. How interesting.
What have your experiences been with neighbors at signings? Good or bad...

Posted - 08/20/2011 : 5:55:01 PM Many of my in-home signing situations involve older people who have lived in the neighborhood for a while, but haven't been as active as in the past.
When the neighbors are asked to witness, for powers of attorney for instance, they end up "catching up" on things. Sometimes it's too distracting and I have to get everybody back on track, but if I'm not in a big hurry, I don't mind letting them visit for a while. Makes things more comfortable for the signer.

Tips for using the forum
The most important feature on the forum is the search box. You can look up a particular word, phrase, name of a company, and see a potentially large list of search results with which you can obtain data. Filters are also valuable. If you want to find popular posts, you can use the number of views filter. You can also see whats new with the active topics link. Email us at info@123notary.com if you need any help using the notary forum.
Resources
The notary public resource page is valuable as it has links to all of the free information pages for notaries. Pages linked to the resource page include a page that teaches you everything you need to know to get the most out of your listing. Another page teaches you all the secrets of getting paid. There is a link to our free list of signing companies. There is also a glossary, learning tools, and much more.
