Posted - 08/30/2012 : 03:35:35 AM Hi everybody,
Last week due to issue in my land line I decided to close this service. As my all friends suggest me that this is worthless now days. But when I think again then, I realize that this is the one contact, which is with me from last 8 years. So if I close this one then sure I will miss my contacts. I use this contact for my business purpose from start and now I decided to continue with same. |

Posted - 03/02/2013 : 12:23:55 PM My MagicJack is still running strong and (almost) free. It "rides" on the DSL (internet) service. Under $100 for FIVE YEARS of unlimited nationwide service and very cheap (pennies) per minute for international.

Posted - 03/02/2013 : 10:20:27 AM I got very tired of paying $65/month for my landline, but I needed the unlimited long distance for business calls and calls to my family out of state.
Since I had such great luck with my StraightTalk cell service, when they released their home service we gave it a try - buy a base receiver for $100, and the service for unlimited local and nationwide calling is $15/month. We're thrilled and we've never looked back.

Posted - 03/02/2013 : 09:29:50 AM I use my landline to make long distance calls to borrowers to confirm appointments inasmuch as many have their out-of-state cell phones listed on the confirmations. I have unlimited long distance on my home phone. Plus, I need the land line for fax-backs. I haven't purchased a sheet fed scanner to "pdf" the fax backs. Seems to be the most cost efficient at this point.

Posted - 08/30/2012 : 11:15:53 PM I can't use my landline due to some unsurmountable problems with the wiring in my 12 story building. Hmmm. And my cell phone doesn't get the best reception. So, I do what I can with what I have.

Posted - 08/30/2012 : 12:48:55 PM I stopped using my land line years ago and simply went to the sites of the businesses and changed my information ahead of time. In other words I paid for both for a while until I had notified everyone. I am happy I don't pay for more than I need now.
