Dannotary	Posted - 02/20/2012 : 1:37:09 PM I sometimes get calls from loan brokers/agents after the signing asking me 'how did it go with the borrowers and the signing"? I respond "fine, as far as I'm concerned". I have been in this industry 29 years, and I think the question is misdirected, and he should be calling his borrowers and giving them some customer service and follow it up with THEM not me. Especially when they werent available to answer during the signing, it makes me feel like they are avoiding the borrowers. Call me crazy.

Dannotary	Posted - 04/02/2012 : 12:57:36 PM better than the loan agent gets tied up for 2 hrs with them than me, its not my job and they are making way more than us. There isnt possibly anything we can tell them in our limited capacity that could take 2 hrs. I resent those agent calls. If a borrower doesnt get a call back during the first part of the appt and dont want to continue signing, I consider that they are less than willing to sign and for my safely, adjourn the appt until their questions are answered by the appropriate party and duly note all this in my journal.

jbelmont	Posted - 02/21/2012 : 1:13:38 PM They might want to get two points of view... Or, perhaps, they think the borrowers won't tell the whole story. Perhaps, they think that the borrowers will tie them up on the phone for two hours, so it is better to ask the notary who will give a one minute answer...
Renee	Posted - 02/21/2012 : 06:15:53 AM I think it's understandable that they'd call us first, before calling a borrower. Better to be fully aware of what went on at the signing first.
