What should a notary do if they are assisting a wife with her signing on a particular date if the husband will be signing with a different notary on a later date? Lets say that both signers are on the same right to cancel instead of having individual ones. Please feel free to post what you think is the right answer and feel free to debate with other notaries.

Regardless of both names being printed on the RTC, it would be perfectly acceptable for each person to sign a separate RTC form (sans the other person's signature on a copy), with the correct dates for each person.

Each notary handles their own signing. However, the second notary produces a Laser copy of the first signers RTC. The second signer makes corrections and initials the laser copy and signs dating correctly. Then, both the Original RTC from the first signing, and
the corrected copy (now an original from the second signer) get returned to the lender. The lender then has both and both dates of RTC are valid. The lender can't fund/record until the latter date, but the deal gets done.
I had this exact situation occur with a Husband and Wife in two states. The deal got done....
