www.notaryclasses.com (whom I teach for) has loan signing classes available in CA and the book: How To Become A Wildly Successful Loan Signing Agent is available for purchase at 1-800-873-9865 or on-line Http://www.notaryclasses.com

The cost of loan signing class, certification, book is $150. We teach in San Bernardino and Anaheim. Northern CA classes are held in Sacramento. The "Wildly" book
is available for $86 and if you want to attend a class in the future you will only be charged the $64 difference

You can call me personally at 951-522-4919 if I can answer any questions?

In addition to Paul's suggestions, you might consider the training manuals available on this website, including taking the certification program available here. If you have an interest in reverse mortgages, then you should consider the information available from Brenda Stone at: http://www.texnotary.com/.

When you have spare time, consider perusing the various notary forums where you can pick up on many tips and techniques from others.

There are TWO 'books' that I think every signing agent should get and read thoroughly.

The first is your state notary manual or handbook. I know some states don't have a handbook. The notary needs to be intimately familiar with their state laws and statutes, regardless if there is a manual or handbook available.

The second is the Signing Agent Professional Skills Training Guide (often referred to as the Signing Registry or SR Training Guide).

I didn't have a particular subject that I was interested in learning. Just anything that I already didn't know, but should. I am open to other book titles if you have any to suggest. Thanks!

What is name of the book and the author that you have in mind? Are you looking or open to other suggestions? If so, what specific areas of the process do you have an interest in?

Are you just looking for samples of loan docs? I think PAW has some on his website www.pawnotary.com.
