My refinance closing was fast and efficient. He was extremely fast sending me my documents and even answered crazy questions after the fact immediately. C T on 23/03/2021 05:35:09 AM We are an agency in South Carolina who had a client living up in Maine. She needed a power of attorney done and was unable to leave her home. I found Dan, and he was a godsend. This particular transaction had a lot of moving parts that made it very difficult and stressful for everyone involved, and Dan was calm and patient where most would have probably refused the business. He made calls of his own to help out when it turned out our client''s ID was expired. He always responded promptly and respectfully, and was great to work with. His rates were very reasonable. I don''t think we could have successfully closed this transaction without his help. I am exceedingly grateful for him, and wish he lived down here so I could utilize his services more often! You will not regret using him for your notary needs! Kirsten Witry on 26/05/2020 07:50:19 AM I sent Dan a text at 5am asking if he was available to be at a YMCA almost over two hours away from his home to notarize documents by 11:30am same day. He responded immediately and was game to help. I Provided Dan the contact of the person needing to sign the docs as well as the person providing the docs. Dan handled everything else. It went way to smoothly for occurring 1,500 miles away from me and I credit it to Dan.
Would highly recommend,
Two thumbs up Shawn McMahon on 08/02/2019 11:58:36 AM Upon setting the assignment up Dan, he was quite rude, short spoken and not friendly. We deal with all kinds of personalities daily but needed a service and turn our eyes from the signs and booked with Dan as he accepted and even confirmed the signing for a time.
Dan wrote us "Confirmed 10am" with the understanding he would hold true to his word only to find he abandoned the signing and never returned any phone calls to notify us. Therefore showing Evidence of Dishonor as a notary public and I suggest you stand clear !! John Price on 16/01/2019 08:02:31 AM Dan has conducted more closings than I can count for us from the southern point of Maine all the way up to the northern tip. He has extensive knowledge of refinance, purchase, and HELOC closing packages for every lender we work with (25+ banks). I think the only time Dan was ever late to a closing was when he LITERALLY hit a moose on the highway... and he still closed the loan that day, in time, with all parties happy.
There is a reason that myself, closing operations manager, at a national real estate law firm / title company only have ONE closer in the entire state of Maine and it''s not because there is a lack of notaries or a shortage of closings, it is because I know Dan will be on time, well dressed, polite, knowledgeable, and professional. I never need to worry about a thing. Benjamin Abrahamovich on 11/01/2019 08:45:12 AM This notary ignored many calls and texts from our company after a closing and did not scan back the documents as requested. After not receiving his check, he sent a passive-aggressive email to someone in a different department. Our manager sent an email explaining why he was not paid to which he responded with immature and foul language. We will not be hiring this notary again. nations closers on 07/09/2017 02:31:17 PM Notary's responses: I believe it was month end and they wanted fax backs on a 'deed in lieu' signing. The signing went fine and they received the package the very next day but apparently they weren't happy due to not getting the fax backs.
I explained to them that I didnt have time to do that and complete all my closings for that day.
When they decided to keep MY ENTIRE FEE I told them how I felt about it. This company is well known for low-balling notaries on their fees and to not pay me anything for a signing that was completed was unacceptable to me. He is by far the best and would highly recommend him to anyone. He's kind, caring and made my experience super easy. on 19/08/2017 04:20:30 AM I appreciated the extra effort Da made to get the documentation over to my borrower in Tenants Harbor in a timely manner.
Dan faced adversity from the elements with that huge snowfall on Friday evening and the fact that our computer platform needed to produce the closing package was non-operational the entire Friday business day. So he made the extra effort for a Saturday closing.
My experiences with his notary service has been outstanding.
Lawrence Ernstoff on 06/02/2015 11:34:02 AM Dan has work for our company for years. Nothing but positive things to say. Very reliable, requested by many of our agents, and always does a thorough job! You will never be disappointed! He's the man for the job! Karen Crooks on 17/11/2014 02:15:19 PM Notary emailed us using foul language looking for payment for a closing he did for us. He was very threatening and most unprofessional. We looked up the payment and he had cashed the check that was sent in 30 days as promised. We hope he does not use this type of behavior and language with signers but we will not take a chance and use him ever again! Deborah Salvatore on 29/05/2013 09:52:24 AM Notary's responses: Jeremy, it had been 30 days since the closing and I had yet to receive my check. I looked them up on 123 and found some negative comments about notaries not receiving their checks when promised. Of course, I became concerned. I contacted them via e-mail and gave them borrowers name, dates, and amt of check to which Deborah replied "pls send order # as we cant find anything under your e-mail address." Now I'm really worried and suspect they are "playing games' with me.
The whole issue with my e-mail was that when I did the signing I was using a certain email addr but since then I had changed to a new addr. They apparently look things up by notary's email addr and nothing was showing for my new email. This ALWAYS frustrates me as I find it hard to believe companies cant search their records by borrowers names and/or date of signing. (By the way, I no longer had access to my 'old' emails so I couldn't give them an 'order #.')
I give her what I thought was my old email addr (didn't have it very long) and she apparently finds it under that and sends me a copy of the cleared check. I admit, it was my error and not marking the signing off as 'paid' when the check came in but after reading about their company, not having done many signings with them before and their initial replies to my emails, I felt justified in being sceptic and concerned.
Deborah says she paid "in 30 days as promised" but as you can see by the attached their check was dated 4/8/13, the closing was on 3/5/13--NOT within 30 days.
As far as my 'foul language' I referred to the situation as "bull shit" mainly because I had given them sufficient info to look it up and yet they came back with telling me they needed more info.
As far as any "threatening" and "unprofessional" comments, I simply told them what I would do if the matter couldn't be resolved--report my concerns to you which I what I always say to companies that haven't sent pmt when promised and replied with what I call, "stalling techniques."
In my opinion, if a signing agency uses a "system" that cant look up all closings done by a notary by putting in the notaries name or even the borrower's name, they shouldn't be in business.
In the end, I made a bookkeeping error. They have a poor 'track record' which removed any 'benefits of the doubt.'
I've been doing this for over 10 years and have conducted about 5300 signings, my reputation is my most valued asset and I do everything I can to keep it a positive one, if I was an "unprofessional" notary that throws around "foul language," I'm sure it would have been an 'issue' long before now.
By the way, after they sent me a copy of the cleared check I immediately replied, "my apologies." Dan is a great notary. He is extremely knowledgable, and will go the extra mile, literally (we have sent him to closings 2 hours away). We have gotten rave reviews from customers, as well, regarding this notary. I would not hesitate to trust him with your work. Christine on 17/05/2011 09:59:14 AM I called Dan in advance about notarizing marriage documents, A normal activity in Maine He set up the meeting at a McDonalds which was ok but when he arrived he didn't want to perform the service for no reason in particular. I gave him the information packet from the town Clerk which he read in its entirety. He then went to another table to make phone calls without explanation after a few minutes he came back gave me the packet while talking on the phone and disappeared without explanation. In my personal opinion, astonishingly rude behavior. I cannot imagine involving him in any serious business transaction JIM Johnson on 01/06/2010 06:11:58 PM
