Tip: Travel fees for mobile notaries

What does a mobile notary charge?

Most states allow mobile notaries to charge a travel fee in addition to their notary fees. Each state has a different maximum fee that a notary can charge for particular notary acts.

Travel fees are normally anywhere from $25 to $50 per trip. Fees for loan signings are generally a fixed amount that is agreed to by the notary and signing company. Loan signings normally pay $40 to $175. Please read our section on signing companies to read about getting paid.

AZ, CT, ID, MD, MO, NV, NH, NM, NC, RI, UT
