Tip: Foreign language speakers / documents

Foreign language speakers and documents.
The notary has to be able to communicate directly with the signer. If the signer speaks Spanish, and you know enough to communicate with the signer without an interpreter, you can notarize that person. The language of the document doesn't matter as you are not responsible for understanding the document. It can be in Chinese, and you can notarize it. Just make sure you properly identify the signer.
