(1) Loan modifications do not require any notarizations.
(2) Notaries are often asked to represent themselves as agents or employees of the
loan mod company - don't agree to this.
(3) Loan mod companies often hide their identity when calling you. Always ask what company
someone is calling from so you can do a background check
(4) Loan mod companies are often operating illegally, and an attorney is required in many states for
loan modifications to be closed.
(5) Loan mod companies often don't pay their notaries, so beware and do a background check.
