Tip: Acceptable identification

Acceptable Identification
Acceptable identification should be a current government issued photo-ID with a physical description, signature, and expiration date. Make sure that the signature matches the ones on the document. Make sure its not expired. Make sure the picture looks like the signer. Make sure the ID doesn't look fake or tampered with. Write down the ID type, serial# and expiration date in your journal for signers and credible witnesses. If the signer doesn't have ID, they can be personally known to you (if you know them well), or have their identify proven to you on the basis of the sworn oath of credible witnesses if you state allows them (and more states do, although the exact laws differ from signer to signer). Inmate identification cards might be okay if they have all of the requirements above.
