How to deter fraud with an embosser
Some notaries used an inked stamp as their primary seal, but also make an impression on all pages of all notarized documents with a non-inked embosser seal. This way, you can identify if there are any pages that were added after the notarization which prevents fraud. It also makes it easy to identify if someone made a photocopy of the document or part of the document that they wish to pass off as the original.
An embosser, if used correctly, is a great way to deter and identify fraudulent misuse of documents.
