Tip: Oath of office

Oath of office
Many states require a newly appointed notary to take an oath of office. The notary must swear under oath to uphold all notary laws and lawfully execute their duty. The oath is notarized by someone at the county recorders office, and the oath and bond are filed at the notary's local county recorder's office.
