No replies to consistent attempts to collect pmt. for Nov. 09 closing. Same issues as everyone else. I am filing a complaint with PA Sect'y of State. Will post the outcome.

Mary, I did warn you girl. I started this thread in 12-07 on this forum. I did get paid, but had to pull teeth to get my money. Always check here before you take the job or even after, you can always give the job back. Hope you're doing well. Merry Christmas!

I have a couple of VA notary friends who had the same problem and recently secured payment from REO. Just let them know you are contacting the PA Dept of State Professional Compliance Office and filing a complaint about them not fulfilling their end of the contract:

http://www.dos.state.pa.us/bpoa/cwp/view.asp?a=1104&Q=432617

Go ahead and file a complaint and fax a copy to REO with a demand for payment. Also, if REO is owned by an attorney you can file a complaint with the PA State Bar. Check the Sec of State records on-line to see who the registered agent is for REO Land Services.

The most recent post about this company is from last year. I just want to let everyone know that they are currently ignoring my attempts to collect from them for a job I did in July, 2009, so they are still at it. I have left phone messages twice for Kim Mckay but she does not return my calls.

"Jack's reply was that he could pay me directly from the HUD, and that I had his word that I would be paid. What does "pay directly from the HUD" mean? If they are the title company and not paying the Notaries does it matter that you are listed directly on the HUD? "

Just a quick FYI - means you'll be listed on the HUD as a Payee and your check will be cut immediately on disbursement. If he truly does this that's great..you'll have your money within a week (or at least you should)...the downside is if the loan rescinds, nobody on the HUD gets paid, including you.

He called me this morning for a signing later today and I agreed but had a bad feeling about it - seemed to remember some bad reports on this company. Thank you 123 members - after finding this I called and turned the signing back. Work is at a premium these days and so is money - I can't afford to work for nothing...

I too have been stiffed by Jack and the crew. I will never work for them again! Kim Mackey was a great help on the first no pay, she took care of it right away. The next one a year later she just read my email and never responded and never paid.

I think you are right. Whoever is in your area is not accepting the job so he is hoping you will. I agree this forum is great!

Thanks for the advice. He (Jack) has called numerous times and sent a couple of emails since I sent the email declining the signing. I guess they are desperate to find someone who will fall for it!

I am so thankful for this forum. It is a priceless tool to all notaries.

Don't buy it! I wouldn't do it. I don't know what that means either, "pay from the hud". That is just gobblygook from him to convince you to take the job and make him money so he can stiff you. I wouldn't do it.

I received a call from Jack @REO to do a signing tomorrow and after accepting I came to this wonderful forum to check the company out. After reading about their terrible reputation on paying Notaries I declined the offer unless they could pay me via Paypal before the closing. Jack's reply was that he could pay me directly from the HUD, and that I had his word that I would be paid. What does "pay directly from the HUD" mean? If they are the title company and not paying the Notaries does it matter that you are listed directly on the HUD?

Any advice would be great. I need the money, but cannot afford to be stiffed!!

Well,REO (Real Estate One) Land Services finally paid me. I had to jump through hoops to get it, but they paid. Now, if the check just doesn't bounce! I used Carmen's letter and actually did what I promised to do and forwarded the emails to everyone's email I had at REO. Thanks Carmen. Then I had Prepaid Legal send them a letter too. I won't work for them again and don't think they'll ask either! Haha! I don't think they would have paid me if I hadn't done all that I did.

Well things are looking bleaker by the moment for getting paid by these creeps and this is a title company too. So much for working "just" for title companies, they're stiffing us too. I also had trouble with Federated Land Title in Ohio. I did get paid though.

I am having trouble getting paid by this company, so beware. Jack Pinsker ordered the closing I did for them Oct. 4. So remember his name if he calls you. Anyone else worked for them and had problems? Hopefully, they'll pay me soon. I have my attorney on them now, so we'll see! They are out of Pittsburg, Pa. at 429 Forbes Ave.
