Good advice chocaholic. Namaste56 did you take any kind of notary/signing training? If not I suggest you do.

This is a joke right? You don't know where to stamp? Well... if this is not a joke then DO NOT DO THIS SIGNING. I suggest to call some other notary in your area and ask them if you could go with them to see how the performed their duty.

You will normally see an Acknowledgement page following the DOT.or If there is no separate page, there may be wording for an ACK on same page below where the borrower(s) are to sign. That is where you will sign and apply your notary stamp or seal. Note: Be very careful that the borrower signs the pages exactly as spelled out on the loan doc's. Also that you sign your name exactly as on your notary commission. Be sure and change the "State" & "County" to your venue (where you are signing the documents) if they are pre-printed with another state on them. Also, initial each change.

Re: "I don't know where to sign or put my seal". Go to your SOS website (if there is one) where you are commissioned. Do they have examples of basic notarial certificates such as ACK, JURAT, etc.? Those are the same notary certificates you should see in your loan packet.
I can only suggest that you try to find a "mentor" to help you through your first signing. You indicate you have a "certification book". Does it have "examples" of loan documents in it? Go back to it and start reading through it again. There may be "reference" or example's of loan doc's that you can put sticky notes on to "double check" your work against after the closing and before you Fed Ex doc's back to the Lender. Re: Finding a "Mentor" check to see if there is a "network" in your area and if someone there is offering their services (they may want to charge you a fee)
