People are going to do what they want, but if you work for this company without getting paid before you sign, you stand a very good chance of NOT getting paid. There have even been instances where notaries have demanded payment up front and have been paid through Pay Pal. Then, later, the payment was rescinded. I didn't know that could happen, but apparently it can. I demanded payment up front, transferred the funds, then did the signing. Too much trouble as far as I'm concerned. There is never any need for the notary to take lesser fees or pay the company to obtain a signing. I maintain $100,000 E&O and I have not heard of any $1 million becoming an "industry standard." This company is not worth your time.

Linda,
I couldn't agree more...I did look at the other posts, and I won't be doing it, however, I thought I would ask about the $1 million E&O. But truly thank you for replying to my post. At least I don't think I'm crazy!!

What processing fee? Are they charging YOU a fee to send YOU work? And on what do they base their statement that $1million E&O will soon be the "industry standard" - E&O only covers notarial errors, not signing agent errors - and too few companies understand that. What your processing fee is doing is helping to pay for their business liability policy.

Search this site and Notary Rotary for information about this company. If it were me I wouldn't give them a plug nickel - you'll pay them their "processing fee" but they won't pay YOU for the work YOU do.

Note: I've never worked for them thanks to the many posts by other notaries here and elsewhere - my comments are based on that information only.

I have a few questions, I see that people don't get paid from them, but have you ever been told "The processing fee covers the background check as well as $1million E & O which will soon be the industry standard. While it may meet state requirements, unfortunately we need to meet our clients standards!" I was questioning them on the processing fee, along with the background search and this was the reply I got. I'v talked to a few companies about the E&O an they told me that they don't offer $1 million and they don't know of a company that does. Do any of you? Is this company a scam? Please any information would be helpful.
