They list four locations, including the infamous Aliso Viejo, CA. I suppose they used the Notaries monies to build their nice website. I believe the only way a company that behaves as they do can be stopped is for Notaries who are owed monies should contact both the Title Companies who do business with them and the state Insurance Commissioner (who regulates title insurance companies).

It is my opinion that the TC should be reported to the IC because they are deliberately engaging in business with what I would characterize as a criminal enterprise. Any business with years and years of bad history, that bad history being deliberately contracting with Notaries and then tortuously breaching that agreement classifies that business as a criminal enterprise. Now if the shoe fits......... !! MHO

I just did a reverse directory on the New York phone number listed below as being connected to SOX. From the overhead view in mapquest it looks like a residential area. Probably someone trying to work from home. I also thought that it is interesting that on one of the other BB's that SOX is listed with 2 1/2 stars. When you look at the comments, a couple of folks have given them 5 stars! I'm guessing that the 5 star folks are probably SOX employees.

I've been asked to post this info by a fellow FL notary

She received a call from a scheduler for a signing for SOX but it was a New York number - she did a little investigating then called them back to clarify - the woman did clarify that she was calling for SOX, she was in New York, but their main office is in California...

So SOX now has a NY office/number they're calling from - 607.292.6006.

Tips for using the forum
The most important feature on the forum is the search box. You can look up a particular word, phrase, name of a company, and see a potentially large list of search results with which you can obtain data. Filters are also valuable. If you want to find popular posts, you can use the number of views filter. You can also see whats new with the active topics link. Email us at info@123notary.com if you need any help using the notary forum.

Resources
The notary public resource page is valuable as it has links to all of the free information pages for notaries. Pages linked to the resource page include a page that teaches you everything you need to know to get the most out of your listing. Another page teaches you all the secrets of getting paid. There is a link to our free list of signing companies. There is also a glossary, learning tools, and much more. If you are a notary, the free tips we give are invaluable.
