You can google or search other engines for Title Companies and get a list of your own. Try a mass mailing. There is a company that you can get Post Cards free with your business info printed on them, very professional looking and other items at bargain prices - if anyone is interested in this email me your email address ---- if I refer a friend then I get referal money. It sounds too easy I know but I have been using them for 2 years. They even hooked me up with a sister company and did my web site. But seriously there bargains are amazing. I just ordered a bunch of stuff . . . for $9 and that included shipping (business cards, postcards, stickies) send me your emails:

Don't necessarily quit your day job until you have a lineup of work and know it will keep coming.

Business is slow across the nation, and what that means is your local title offices are going to be doing as MANY of their own closings as possible. The in-house closers who were used to having tons of OT income are even doing the after-hours closings - this changes the perspective, and you are now their competition more than their relief.
You'll probably find a greater need for your services from title agents that are NOT local - look for agents in other states that service your state, and national companies.
Still - it's GREAT to be networking with your local agents, because for one thing you never know who you're talking to, and what they'll be doing next week or next year, they might become your next best client. It's also really good to become 'known', put your face to your name, and EVENTUALLY when this economy turns around ... who knows?! |

I have lately been trying to take my business from the aft 5/weekend level to full time. I know to do this I need the 'steady' business that connections to escrow/title can afford. My question is, what's is the best way? What I am doing now is looking up these companies in 'google' and then visiting them with a print out of my contact info/fees with some card attached. I get a pleasant 'thank you' from the receptionist, but wonder how many are getting through to anyone of importance? I know that persistance is the key, but is there something else Im missing? Give me the benefit of your experience.
